Knitting XXL

Okay, I made the decision I will continue knitting through the season! Probably not as much as during winter, but I'm thinking of trying new things. What I really like to do is working with XXL needles and wool. I love chunky knits! Working with the wool I used before for the pouf is nice but it is not as firm as I would like it to be. So first I'm looking for different wool and bigger needles and then a new project....to be continued!

Easter Brunch

Getting ready for Easter brunch with my parents-in-law this morning! On the menu we have eggs (off course), all kinds of breads, jellies, chees and wonderful prosciutto! Bubbles, coffee & fresh orange juice. And even though they're 12 and 10, the old chocolate easter bunny still works ;-)

And tomorrow we're having brunch with friends. We all bring food so today we'll start preparing the lobster thermidor, delicious!! Green asparagus yummy....! And they are preparing great food as well.

So it's all about brunches this Easter, I love it. If we are able to do anything after brunch? We have plans to finish a bathroom and do some work in the garden....but those plans might be a little ambitious...!

Enjoy your breakfast, brunch or dinner and be lazy this Easter!

Summer knits

This knitted pouf was a gift for a Birthday Girlfriend! Finished it just in time before the lovely party we had last night! As said before knitting season was over....but I saw the wool and I just loved the summer color of it. On top of that I ran into a plaid that matched perfectly with the pouf. With the small leather labels it turned out into a great combination!

So if this summer knitting will continue? I'm thinking of a large pouf for lounging outside....

Fabulous Miss R.

So much fun with my friend Rotem yesterday. I asked to her if she would like to strike a pose with my knitted clutches! She is the perfect model, she definitely knows how to pose, and takes it very seriously, it was hilarious we couldn'st stop laughing!! The pictures are so great!

Thank you Fabulous Miss R. you are the BEST!

End of Season - Knitting

This beautiful blanket was supposed to be my final knitting project this season. It turned out great! It is incredibly soft and the color is perfect. My guess is that it will be used frequently. And I'll bet outside on summer evenings while the temperature is dropping!

But.....who knew that knitting is healthy for your brain? I find it very relaxing, but guess what? It's been said to have the effects as meditation, according to this article! So for now I am done and my bet is new inspiration will follow shortly and I will be knitting through the summer as well...!

Happy Friday!

For children

Suusig started with small furniture for children in 2007. Dressing tables, kitchens, drawing tables, but also paintings, chairs, and so on! All painted in my living room and every item was unique...

Some pictures from the past...
